| The Ontario Horse Racing Industry Association (OHRIA) is an umbrella association that represents all segments of the horse racing industry. OHRIA seeks to further promote the horse racing industry as a vital part of Ontario's lifestyle, heritage, and agricultural economy.
The Ontario horse racing industry is a significant part of the agricultural sector and the most labor intensive providing more than 60,000 jobs. Annual expenditures of breeders and owners are in excess of $2 billion. |

Executive Director's Agenda
Hector Clouthier, Executive Director of OHRIA has been busy promoting the horse racing industry in Ontario. Mr. Clouthier, when not working in his office makes numerous visits to different areas of the province, meeting with horsepeople, track management and various stake holders within the industry. These visits have been and continue to be a great source of information regarding the past, present and more importantly the future of the horse racing industry. Further to this, Hector has been speaking with service clubs throughout Ontario promoting horse racing and has many more speaking engagements booked.
