![]() Hall of FameThe Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame was founded in 1976 to recognize the need for a place to honor horse racing’s pioneers, heroes and horses, with the enshrinement of 44 individuals—horses, builders, jockeys, drivers, trainers, standardbreds and thoroughbreds. In 1997, the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame found a permanent home, when the Ontario Jockey Club (now Woodbine Entertainment Group) provided a permanent site without cost at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto. The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame celebrates the legendary horses and heroes of Canadian racing. History comes alive with rare artifacts like prestigious trophies, antique racing programs, winning jockey silks and bronzed horseshoes – just to mention a few.
