Industry Programs

As the umbrella association representing all horse racing stakeholders, OHRIA is responsible for the administration of provincial wide programs. Many of the programs have been delegated to OHRIA as a result of agreements with the Ontario Government.

In order to reflect the realities of industry revenues and to realign itself to better achieve its original mandate, OHRIA transferred the administration of the Horse Improvement Program back to the Ontario Racing Commission April 30, 2005.
