The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Honor's the 2003 Legends of the Past Inductees.

TORONTO, ON. On Friday, October 17, 2003 the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame will dedicate eight new wall panels to honor the 2003 Legends of the Past Inductees.

Standardbreds horses Champ Volo, Fern Hal, and The Ghost will be inducted along with Thoroughbred Legends Ace Marine and Queensway. Builders Frank Conklin, and renowned beauty expert Elizabeth Arden Graham, who won the Kentucky Derby, will be recognized for their contributions, along with “Silent” Charley Sweet in the Driver/Trainer category.

The Wine & Cheese Reception and Legends Ceremony will commence at 11:00 a.m. at the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame at Woodbine Racetrack, Rexdale, Ontario.

“Legends of the Past” was a special millennium project of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame to honour people and horses whose accomplishments and feats occurred a number of decades ago. These people and horses made unique contributions to horse racing in Canada. On this day, they are being recognized for the special roles they played in the development of Canadian horse racing.
