AGCO – Notice to the Industry
The Director of the Ontario Racing Commission has approved the application made by Hanover, Bentinck & Brant Agricultural Society to the 2016 race date schedule for Hanover Raceway (Hanover).

CPMA – Notice to the Industry
Since the implementation of the 2016 Elimination Guidelines on March 1, 2016, the CPMA has received reports of an increased number of detections from therapeutic medications, in particular the drug prednisolone. The reason for these results is unknown but they could be attributed to the use of compounded medications, veterinary practices not consistent with the new guidelines or a lack of awareness by stakeholders of the changes. On December 10, 2015, the Ontario Legislature passed legislation which will transfer the regulatory responsibilities of the Ontario Racing Commission (ORC) to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and change the adjudication process for the appeal of horse racing decisions in Ontario.
